“To live in hearts, we leave behind is not to die. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”– Thomas Campbell and Laurence Binyon
We are aware that things have been a little different this year and this shouldn’t prevent us from honouring and remembering those who have fought for our country.
Here at In Professional Development, we are proud to be supporting The Royal British Legion again this year. The armed forces charity is a fantastic charity and supports over 235,000 members and has 110,000 volunteers who provide life-long support to serving and ex-serving men and women.
Our very own Associate Director of Programmes, Alex Firmin, served in the armed forces for 12 years before working as an accomplished Leadership Consultant.
Alex served in the armed forces for 12 years. He was an army officer (Major) and undertook several tours of Afghanistan. During his time in the army, Alex supported the development and delivery of the Army’s Global Security, Leadership and Strategy programme at Sandhurst. His hard work led to him successfully establishing the first Afghanistan officer training academy, in Kabul.
“As a professional development company, we work with associate tutors who have served in the armed forces and we are very proud to be supporting such a worthy cause that is very close to our hearts. It is important that we support and remember those who sacrifice/sacrificed their lives for us to live in the world we do today. From all of us here at In Professional Development, thank you!”
