Justine Vernon attended our Digital Marketing and Social Media Programme in November 2020

Justine completed the digital marketing training as she is the group development and marketing manager at CPM Group, which creates and delivers insight-led sales, marketing and customer experience strategies for clients seeking to influence their own customers and shoppers.

CPM Group is part of the Omnicom Group.

Justine said: “The timing of the course could not have been better. It came as we were working on our strategic planning for a global rebrand as part of the company’s exciting journey.”

“As part of our rebrand, we have been seeking a new look and feel for our CPM-branded websites.”

“Another goal is to create a digital marketing strategy that is cohesive across our local markets and which amplifies our aspirations, our DNA and our brand personality, aligning with our overall business objectives.”

Her aim in attending the four-day course was to gain new skills and tools to take back to the business and implement as part of the rebrand strategy.

Justine’s thoughts

The course was very comprehensive and fast-moving. There was a lot to take in over the four days, but it was manageable for all levels. The breakout sessions worked well and provided opportunities to bring to life some of the learnings in a safe and friendly environment.

The tutors were incredibly knowledgeable, likeable and allowed you the opportunity to ask questions and contribute to the discussions.

Applying the learning

Justine said the course gave her a great insight into what digital marketing covers, the theories and models, and how to apply them.
It explored traditional and modern marketing techniques and provided Justine with the opportunity to create her own marketing plan in one of the breakout sessions. She picked up lots of tips and advice, including must-have marketing tools and tactics.

She said she has been able to apply the knowledge gained on it to sound more credible and add value when appointing a new partner agency. She feels much more confident, knowledgeable and equipped to lead this project.

Justine said she would be using the RACE (Reach, Act, Convert, Engage) planning framework alongside other tools, techniques and tips provided during the training. This includes creating an impactful content calendar and choosing the right platform.

Having printed off all the supporting documents and overlaid them with her notes from the training, she now has her ‘marketing bible’ to hand.

Verdict

What an amazing and insightful four days!

The course content was exactly what I was looking for. It was pitched at a level for all abilities and experience. The trainers were excellent and patient communicators. They kept us all on track and made sure we had fun along the way. Taking time out of a busy schedule is never easy, but this was a great investment of my time. It was value for money and worked well over Zoom.
