Easy fairs is an international events business that hosts 200 events in 14 countries each year. We organise a range of different events from exhibitions, to conferences, sporting events, concerts, and awards ceremonies.
Learning objectives and challenges:
Digital marketing spend is vital in helping us reach and engage with various audiences at a time where events can’t run yet due to COVID-19, so our events need to shift to adopt the best digital marketing practice to enhance live events/shift towards hybrid events. This was my main objective for attending the digital marketing training with INPD , as I was looking to increase my knowledge around digital, so I could go back and support my organisation further.
As resources are limited at the moment, I wanted to ensure that as a team we were delivering results and getting maximum return on our marketing efforts. I decided to attend this course to help me gain practical knowledge on paid for digital advertising and social media marketing to help me run digital campaigns more effectively.
The learning experience:
The course was a great refresher for marketing theory which I personally think would help anyone in business regardless of their role and department. I also learnt useful practical tips on paid for advertising and social media, and some of the software suggestions were invaluable to me.
The tutors, Matt and Rian were supported and highly engaging, and I really value that we are still in touch sharing best practice.
I thoroughly enjoyed the course and I would strongly recommend it to anyone involved in marketing or even PR, no matter if they look after the digital element of marketing. Digital is the way forwards, so this course is essential for all marketers
How has your training benefited you so far?
I now feel more confident in the reasons and justifications for the strategic decisions I make in my role. It has also given me the confidence to try things myself should I need to, rather than relying on the knowledge of a digital marketing agency.
I am going to apply strategy to the decisions I make in my team and I will also make sure my team are adopting a digital first focus. My learnings will not only help me meet my targets within my role but my learning will help me stand out from my peers in other jobs down the line.
