Learning experience:

I recently attended the CMI Level 5 Leadership and Management programme and I found my time on the course to be really insightful and engaging. Attending the course has provided me with lots of new insights, knowledge and confidence that will help take my career to the next level.

James, the tutor, was highly engaging and extremely knowledgeable. He delivered an interesting course very well, despite the constraints of having to be delivered online over zoom and was very attentive to the needs of the class.

I particularly enjoyed learning about the psychology of leadership, key theories behind successful leadership and how to effectively coach in the workplace. It’s hugely beneficial that the learnings from the course can also be applied in non-professional situations and it was highly thought-provoking learning about the various theories, and how they can be practically applied in real life situations.

How has your training benefited you so far?

So that I can gain the most from my time on the leadership programme, I’m going to take time out to understand and assess the different personalities that I come into contact with on a day to day basis (as per the DISC model). From this analysis, I can then tailor my approach to leadership and resonate more with the different personality types, this will hugely facilitate with achieving the best possible outcomes. I also plan to take my new found skills and knowledge forward to support my on my journey to becoming a more authentic leader and encourage me to stay true to my beliefs and values.

The learning certainly addressed the initial objectives set out by the company. I welcomed the opportunity to attend the programme and for me it has been useful to stop and take a step back to understand how and why people, including myself behave a certain way and what to do to maximise the level of cooperation and success in an organisation. It has also given me the confidence to accept that I am also a leader.

Customer testimonial:

A really insightful and engaging course, delivered by a highly knowledgeable tutor. This course will help me to take my career to the next level as it provides an in depth understanding of the psychology of leadership and what it means to be a good leader while providing practical ways to immediately start applying the theory in your day to day. Finally, the learnings from the course can also be applied in a non-professional setting which is a bonus!
