The Learning Objectives and Challenges
Stephen's learning objectives were to achieve a greater of understanding in the theory of business finance, marketing strategies and leadership styles. Although he has worked in senior roles for the past decade he felt that he needed to gain more depth and practical application of the models and methodologies available. His challenge was how to apply his new learnings to his application at work. He particularly wanted to overcome his challenge to better understand the different finance budgeting and management accounting approaches available.
The Learning Experience
Throughout his learning on the course he felt fully supported with both the 1-2-1 guidance from his course tutor and online facilities at Chester University, e.g. access to library books and academic papers. His workplace was also very supportive to allow him the time to explore and apply the theories to practical applications at Parker-Meggitt.
How Has Your Training Benefitted You So Far?
The learning has benefitted Stephen by reinforcing his practical knowledge of the subjects and by providing him with new learning, which he has immediately started to apply in his work place. All the modules have provided him with a good level of competence and practical application.
