A deep, psychologically focused analysis of your own management identity and style. You will gain an insight into how you come across to others, and how you can enhance your management impact by enhancing self-awareness, and the ability to self-manage.

During this highly interactive session, participants will learn and practice the skills of the professional executive coach, for application within the management environment. The workshop will introduce a range of tools and underpinning concepts that will help you to get the best from your people.
- Introduce coaching and mentoring, examine the differences, and identify when to engage each skillset.
- Consider own listening skills and enhance ability to listen with intention.
- Examine the positive psychological impact of having clear individual, team and business goals, and set them for yourself.
- Practice several coaching frameworks to support conversations with clear outcomes.
- Identify what is meant by a ‘coaching culture’, and how this can be developed.
- Using effective management techniques to find the mindset of ‘flow’ and unlock both your own and your team’s full potential.
This workshop will introduce the challenge of change, provide an insight into the impact of change on performance, and develop methods to manage change programmes with the minimum possible effect on motivation and capability. The afternoon will introduce the Kata method of leading change and innovation and build upon the coaching and mentoring skills we have established during the previous session.

- Consider a range of change processes that will facilitate all types of change
- Discuss the role of innovation and creativity within an organisation, and how to harness and operationalise these vital capabilities

- Explore case studies of successful change management and establish learning for own organisation
- Practice the ‘Kata’ coaching method of leading and supporting others through change.
This workshop will focus on the skills required of senior managers in commercial environments. Regardless of the sector we work in, understanding finance, value and being able to confidently negotiate are critical skills for successful organisational leadership. This engaging, interactive and strategically focussed session will increase the commercial confidence of our participants.
- Explain key financial terms, roles and capabilities within the organisation.
- Examine how organisations effectively budget and forecast.
- Discuss the role of finance in creating, developing and challenging the organisation’s strategy
- Examine your own competitors, and understand their commercial strategy and position
- Consider and apply the principles of negotiation in both competitive and collaborative environments.
At the end of the programme, delegates will walk away with a strategy to implement into their business after we have analysed the market, the business, the audience and other key factors.

Alex Firmin -
Alex is a qualified occupational psychologist and specialises in leadership development. He is also a highly experienced educational consultant and executive coach. Alex is the Associate Director for Programmes at INPD, and routinely teaches on MBA programmes for York, Chester, and Robert Gordon Universities.
For 12 years, Alex was an army officer (Major) and undertook several tours of Afghanistan. He supported the development and delivery of the Army’s Global Security, Leadership and Strategy programme at Sandhurst. Alex's hard work led to him successfully establishing the first Afghan officer training academy, in Kabul.
Alex has over 20 years’ experience of designing and delivering strategic training programmes as well as being a business consultant and manager. Making him an accomplished Leadership Consultant with cross-cultural experience and the ability to succeed in the most challenging environments. He has become well respected for delivering high impact, strategic Leadership and Management training for large scale commercial corporations. Sean is a Work and Organisational Psychologist, specialising in psychological diagnostics of the workplace. Experienced in the design and implementation of training, development and change programs in a multitude of cross-cultural, global environments. Sean brings a diverse and highly developed skillset from his background in the British army and corporate training industry.
James Willerton -
With over 10 years of business consulting and professional service experience, James has developed a well-rounded and practical perspective on strategic development and human capital development at all levels and cross-industries both nationally and internationally. With a focus on innovation in strategy development, James is a certified Exceptional Trainer. With a diverse background in business management, innovation, strategy development, organisational development, recruitment and operations.
During his role in recruitment, James applied advanced psychometric techniques and personally assessed over 1000 candidates for his own and his client’s businesses. Combined with coaching, this has given him an advanced experience of dealing with the human psych and obtaining optimal results for human capital and organisational development.

Accreditation
You can attend the Advanced Management Programme on an accredited and non-accredited basis.
If you decide to undertake the Advanced Management Programme on an accredited basis, you will receive a PGCert in Management and Leadership from the University of East London, upon completion.
The PGCert is an additional cost of £2,000+vat. This includes your enrolment with the university, additional learning support, access to supporting materials and a dedicated personal supervisor that will support you with your assignment completion and submissions.
- Learners will complete 2 assignments in order to achieve this qualification
- Conduct top level organisational analysis, resulting in a research proposal for an empirical study into a leadership and management issue within the delegate’s professional environment
- A robust data driven enquiry within the delegate’s professional environment that adds value through active participation in a learning community, and an evaluation of how this enquiry has added value to self and the organisation
