Maximising AI in Learning and Education Conference

Interesting day at the Institute of Professional Development's Maximising AI in Learning and Education conference. We started, appropriately, with talks from Dr Naeema Pasha and Anna Danes on the ethical considerations, landing on the importance of putting humans and humanity first and centre. Ian Turner and Shan Wikoon followed with some practical tips for how AI can be used in eg creating custom lesson plans, in assessment, and I even know now how to create my own GPT in a few easy steps! After lunch we put it all together with a Lego workshop - and guess what? We all found the way to overcome the challenges of AI is through education and helping each other! Another really interesting takeaway for me is how the era of AI could trigger a resurgence in interest in teaching soft skills such as compassion and integrity.

Delighted to have participated in the Maximising AI in Learning and Education event. We delved into the hurdles of incorporating AI into education and brainstormed effective solutions - an enlightening and informative experience! We rounded off the day with a splash of fun by diving into the interactive and playful Lego Serious Play activity! The conversations surrounding AI in Education and personalised learning underscored the significance of fostering inclusive education systems for the benefit of all.
