In Professional Development Returns to the Classroom

Leadership and management training company In Professional Development are returning to the face-to-face classroom afterr a year of virtual learning.

The company reacted to the Covid-19 pandemic by switching their course delivery from a face-to-face format to the use of video conferencing technology.

They have seen tremendous success with their virtual classroom, delivering more courses than ever before, with a record number of delegates attending in the year March 31, increasing the annual sales revenue from £2.7m to £3.4m.

Dave Hall, CEO, said “This was a huge risk, as we were venturing into unexplored territory. Never before had we delivered a single virtual course.”

They now look forward to the return of their face-to-face learning in September, once restrictions have been lifted and it is safe to do. The company said they are continuing to prioritise the health and safety of their staff, tutors, and delegates to ensure the safe delivery of their programmes, especially considering the recent announcement in the delay of the lockdown easing.

The success of their virtual classroom and the return of face-to-face training means that 2021 offers the exciting prospect of finally being able to deliver both options to our learners. The courses will run in central hotels in London and Manchester.

Dave also said, “It is great to finally be able to offer face to face learning again! It is no surprise that many learners prefer a real-world learning experience and the interaction this offers with the tutor and peers. The ability to support our learners again with face-to-face training is an exciting step forward.”

The company began trading in 2018, and is led by directors Marc Davis, Dave Hall, Jon Palmer and Stuart Thompson.

In Professional Development look forward to welcoming delegates back to the in-person classroom, which is where their original success began. Within the first two years of trading, up until the pandemic, they grew rapidly to a workforce of 20, doubling their turnover in their second year of trade.

Its courses – including the flagship Executive Mini MBA and a Directors Development Programme – focus on helping delegates to improve their skills and equip them with tools and strategies to enhance their own performance and that of their organisations.

Topics covered include leadership and negotiation skills, corporate governance and finance, strategic planning and advice, coaching and mentoring, digital marketing and social media.

In Professional Development runs accredited courses in conjunction with academic and professional partners including the University of Chester, the University of York, the University of East London, the Chartered Management Institute and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

They will continue to offer all courses via the virtual classroom and face to face options, providing both options to our learners ensures that they can attend a learning environment that best suits their needs.

Courses will also be run as open courses and on a bespoke in-house basis upon request.

This Press Release has also been published by West Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce.
