What challenge was your organisation looking to address?

At Shentons Solicitors, we have a diverse team with different experiences, skill sets, and leadership styles. As a law firm, our focus has always been on legal expertise, but we recognised the need to enhance our leadership skills at a senior level. With strong personalities across the firm, we wanted a training programme that would challenge our thinking and bring about positive change in a collaborative way. We needed something bespoke to ensure the training directly aligned with our specific leadership development objectives.

“We knew we needed something bespoke to truly challenge our leadership team, and INPD delivered exactly that.”

What was the solution your organisation opted for?

We partnered with INPD to create a tailored leadership training programme that addressed the unique needs of our team. Rather than using a standardised training package, INPD developed a bespoke course that aligned with our firm’s culture and objectives. Each team member was consulted individually to identify their specific training needs, ensuring that the programme was truly relevant and engaging for everyone involved.

“The training wasn’t just about learning—it was about collaboration, self-reflection, and developing leadership as a real skill.”

What was the approach to the training?

The training was designed to be highly interactive and collaborative. Steph, our trainer, engaged with each participant to understand their individual goals and challenges. The sessions were structured to be thought-provoking, with open discussions that encouraged constructive challenge and self-reflection. Rather than being taught at, we were engaged in discussions and exercises that helped us understand different leadership styles and how to apply them effectively. The approach created a safe space to address difficult situations, give and receive feedback, and develop leadership as a tangible skill.

“Steph was brilliant — confident and able to challenge us in a way that sparked real change.”

What value did INPD bring?

INPD brought immense value by delivering a training programme that was both structured and flexible. Steph, our trainer, was superb—confident, no-nonsense, and unafraid to challenge our thinking in a constructive and professional way. Her ability to engage strong personalities and facilitate meaningful conversations made a significant impact. The bespoke nature of the training ensured it met our exact needs, allowing us to develop leadership skills in a way that felt relevant and practical. The positive and engaging atmosphere fostered real change within our leadership team.

“INPD created a safe space for us to have open conversations, challenge ideas, and ultimately grow as leaders.”

What were the 3 key takeaways that the training impacted your organisation?

  1. Leadership is a skill that can be developed: The programme reinforced the idea that leadership isn’t just about experience—it’s a skill that can be learned, refined, and applied effectively.
  2. Collaborative leadership drives positive change: By understanding different leadership styles and fostering open discussions, we’ve improved how we communicate, lead, and support our teams.
  3. Challenging conversations can be productive and engaging: The training provided us with the confidence and tools to approach difficult conversations constructively, ensuring growth and progress within the firm.

“This training has transformed the way we approach leadership and team dynamics at Shentons Solicitors.”
