Women in Leadership Programme – Kinovo

What challenge was you looking to address?

I’d recently joined Kinovo and recruited a brand-new team. It had been a challenging time, and I hadn’t had space to reflect on myself as a leader in a while. I was keen to step back, look at where I was in my career, and think about where I wanted to go. Like many teams, ours is incredibly busy with strict deadlines, so I needed strategies to become a more conscious leader—someone who looks at the bigger picture and leads with intent, not just through the day-to-day grind.

“The programme helped me look at things through a different lens and make some quite important decisions.”

What was the solution you opted for?

The training came at the perfect time. I joined INPD’s programme with the goal of developing myself as a leader. It gave me the dedicated space I needed to reflect on my approach, explore new leadership models, and step away from the day-to-day so I could return with clarity and purpose.

“It wasn’t just a talking shop – there were tangible tools I could take away and use immediately.”

3. What was the approach to the training?

What stood out most was the environment—it fostered open sharing among female leaders from different industries and backgrounds. We found we had similar stories and challenges, which built a strong sense of allyship. The programme blended insightful discussion with practical tools and models, giving us a framework for understanding teams, leadership, and organisational culture. It was immersive, and stepping fully into the experience made all the difference.

“One of the most powerful things was sharing lived experience with other female leaders.”

4. What value did INPD bring?

INPD delivered something far more powerful than I expected. The programme helped me uncover insights I already held deep down but hadn’t fully recognised or acted on. It wasn’t just theory—it offered tangible, implementable tools that I could immediately use with my team. Importantly, it reminded me that looking after myself is fundamental to being an effective leader. I’ve already begun making changes and setting clearer boundaries. The course gave me a much-needed pause to breathe, reset, and lead with more intention.

“It came at the perfect time – I needed space to reflect on myself as a leader.”

What were the 3 key takeaways that the training impacted you and your organisation?

  • Allyship and connection matter – Hearing shared experiences from other female leaders gave me a sense of solidarity and reinforced the importance of building supportive networks.

  • Practical tools make change possible – From models to frameworks, I came away with a toolkit that I’m already using in real time with my team.

  • Self-care is strategic – I’ve started to set boundaries and practice positive pushback. You can’t lead others effectively if you’re not looking after yourself.

“I’ve already started making changes, setting boundaries and breaking down goals into achievable steps.”
