Executive Mini MBA Accelerator Programme and PGCERT – Alloga UK

What challenge were you looking to address?

I came from a hands-on, non-academic background, having started as an apprentice and worked my way up through management positions. I had never pursued formal education beyond that, so I wanted to gain a strategic perspective on business functions to become a better leader and manager. I needed to step outside my comfort zone and develop a broader understanding of areas like culture, strategy, marketing, and finance, all of which would help me elevate my approach to leadership.

“It gives you that bigger picture thinking on a strategic level – pushing yourself to see how business functions are interconnected.”

What was the solution you opted for?

I chose the Executive Mini MBA and PGCERT with INPD. The programme was perfect because it was structured to provide that strategic, board-level perspective, covering the essentials of business management while also being accessible for someone like me who wasn’t coming from an academic background.

“Writing at this level was really hard for me, but with the open support from INPD, I managed to do it and actually enjoyed it.”

What was the approach to the training?

The training pushed me out of my comfort zone. Initially, it was challenging to write at that level, but the support from INPD was invaluable. The programme was practical and hands-on, encouraging me to think more strategically and understand how different business functions link together. It provided that broader perspective, helping me connect the dots between operations, culture, strategy, and finance.

“I’m not an academic; I’m an apprentice who’s done alright – and this course proved that I could still achieve at a higher level.”

What value did INPD bring?

INPD brought tremendous value in terms of support and structure. They made the content accessible, even for someone like me who hadn’t done academic writing before. The learning materials, resources, and guidance helped me build confidence and achieve something I once thought was beyond my reach. It felt like a major personal and professional accomplishment.

“It took me out of my comfort zone, but coming out the other end felt like such a huge achievement.”

What were the 3 key takeaways that the training impacted you and your organisation?

  1. Bigger Picture Thinking – The training helped me step back and see the broader strategic landscape, connecting various business functions at a board-level perspective.
  2. Personal Growth – It challenged me to push beyond my comfort zone, and the sense of achievement after completing the programme was immense.
  3. Leadership Development – I now have a more refined approach to managing teams, aligning culture with strategy, and making better-informed decisions.

“For anyone considering it – it’s about improving yourself, pushing yourself, and becoming a better leader.”
