What challenge were you looking to address?

I found myself doing a lot of informal coaching and mentoring over the past few years, but I felt I lacked the structure, credibility, and insight to truly provide the best value. I wanted to ensure that my approach was more structured and impactful, and that led me to explore professional training options.

“The INPD course was by far the best virtual course I’ve ever done.”

What was the solution you opted for?

I chose to enrol in INPD’s Leadership Coaching & Mentoring course, particularly the virtual version. Initially, I had reservations about the online format, but it turned out to be the best virtual course I’ve ever taken. The structure, pace, and interaction were all exceptional, and if I were to do it again, I would still opt for the virtual format.

“I went in sceptical about the virtual format, but it turned out to be fantastic.”

What was the approach to the training?

The training was highly interactive and practical. We engaged in role-playing scenarios, practiced real-world techniques, and learned core distinctions between coaching and mentoring. Despite my initial discomfort with role play, it was incredibly beneficial in building my confidence and skillset.

“I now have practical tools that I can use on a daily basis in my role.”

What value did INPD bring?

INPD provided me with a clear framework and a set of tools that I could immediately implement in my day-to-day work. The course gave me the opportunity to practise and refine my skills in a structured environment, and the insights gained have already proven invaluable in my interactions with team members and in addressing business challenges.

“The training provided much-needed clarity between coaching and mentoring.”

What were the 3 key takeaways that the training impacted you and your organisation?

  1. Clarity in distinguishing between coaching and mentoring, which has enabled me to approach each situation with the appropriate mindset.
  2. Confidence in using structured frameworks and questioning techniques, allowing for deeper, more effective conversations.
  3. Practical tools and strategies that I have already applied successfully in performance reviews, development discussions, and problem-solving

“I’ve already seen tangible results from applying what I learned in the course.”
